About
We are on your side of the table.
In a real estate deal almost everyone gets paid when you buy. The agent, the lender, the seller. We do not, which is why every tool here is free, needs no account, and shows the math behind every result. Our only job is helping you compound wealth over decades, and that only works if you can check our work instead of trusting it.
Who it's for
These tools are for anyone making real money decisions. Someone weighing a rental property, someone deciding how much to invest each month, someone trying to see what their money becomes in twenty years. Real estate is where we go deepest, but the tools cover investing and long-term growth in general.
The idea
Better decisions come from seeing the real numbers, not a black box. So we build tools that are honest about what they assume and clear about how they calculate. Every calculator works without an account. An account is optional and only adds saving your analyses and tracking a property over time: nothing you can do for free gets locked behind it later. More on why: why Compounding Estates exists.
How the numbers are generated and reviewed
The market grades are produced by a documented, repeatable pipeline: public Census, BLS, and Zillow Research data in, a fixed set of scoring rules out, published in full on the market methodology page, including the factors we tested and rejected. Editorial content (market write-ups, calculator explanations, research articles) is written and reviewed by Compounding Estates before publishing; it draws on the same published data and never states a number the underlying data can't support. Data refreshes are dated on every page and article; a page's numbers don't move without that date changing.
Corrections
If you find a number that's wrong, a source that's misattributed, or a claim that oversells what the data shows, tell us at the email below. We fix real errors and note when a figure changed. For anything time-sensitive (like our published research), we'd rather issue a correction than leave a mistake standing.
Educational use
Everything on this site (calculators, market grades, research) is for learning and screening, not personalized financial or investment advice. A strong grade or a good calculator result is a reason to look closer, never a substitute for underwriting the actual deal, your own numbers, and your own risk tolerance.
